Founded by Michael Rausch and Johan Speiss, SCHATTENKATZE is based in Germany and Ibiza and aims to create a new bridge between the vibrant music scenes of these two iconic locations.
Our label is all about combining the best of both worlds – we integrate talented artists from all around the globe, but with a unique Ibiza melodic and organic touch that adds a special dimension to our sound. Our music is a blend of pure electronic techno beats and live played acoustic instruments, creating an experience that is truly one-of-a-kind, like an endless journey from the darkness into the light.

Johan Speiss
Introducing Johan Speissegger, better known by his stage name Johan Speiss. Born and raised in Paris, Johan has spent the last decade living in Ibiza, where he has established himself as a talented musician, producer and DJ. With a diverse background in trumpet, saxophone, flute, didjeridu, derbuka and vocals, Johan's music career spans back to the early 90s. Over the years, he has shared stages with a number of impressive artists, including Oxia, Mano Solo, Maricha, David Moreno, Ibiza House Orchestra, DJ Gregory, Ben Hoo, Gary B, Paul Powell and many more. He has also worked with labels such as Goodlife, Kumquat, Sharivari, Perception Records and Pias. Johan's passion for music has taken him all over the world, playing in various countries and prestigious locations such as Destino Ibiza, Space Ibiza, Atzaro, Sunset Ashram, Cafe Del Mar, Hard Rock Hotel, Pacha Hotel, Cova Santa, and many more. In addition, he has collaborated with radios such as Global Ibiza Radio, Pure Ibiza Radio, Ibiza Sonic and more. Johan's sound is a unique blend of electronic music and acoustic instrumentation. He strives to strike a perfect balance between the two, incorporating the power of electronic music with the melodic and lyrical colors of acoustic music. Always found between the decks, machines, and instruments, Johan is a true master of his craft. We are proud to have Johan Speiss as part of our roster, and we are excited to see what the future holds for this experienced artist. Julien Catonné
We are excited to introduce Julien Catonné, a talented French pianist with a background in classical and contemporary harmony, as well as improvisation. Julien's versatile musical career has seen him perform in several different bands, ranging from jazz, blues, chanson française to funk. For over a decade, Julien was the pianist for "Les gars dans le coin", performing at various music festivals and touring throughout Europe and France. He has performed at iconic venues such as "Bataclán" and "New morning" in Paris, as well as different clubs and festivals in France and throughout Europe. Julien's music is a successful fusion of jazz, funk, and classical, with his unique approach to electronic music using his progressive classical piano and other deep synthesizers. After visiting Ibiza for several years, Julien finally settled on the island in 2016 for an artistic and musical research residence, creating new contemporary personal projects with his own compositions. As a master of improvisation, Julien performs both as a soloist in jazz and lounge keys, as well as accompanied by a DJ set. His exquisite musical selection is joined by his keyboard, providing the audience with unique sensations and vibrations. We are proud to have Julien Catonné as part of our roster, and we look forward to his upcoming performances and releases.
